Onshore wind project

75.6 MW onshore wind project AKLAN 1, on island Panay in the Philippines reached ready-to-build status and has been sold to wpd, a Germany-based project developer and operator of wind and solar farms. 

In April 2021, Stream Invest Holding AG (shareholder of CE-Group) together with its partner and member of CE-Group, Triconti ECC Renewables in the Philippines has signed the sale of the almost ready to build 75.6 MW onshore wind project AKLAN 1. 

The project has secured a Wind Energy Service Contract from the Philippines Department of Energy and is currently in the last steps before obtaining the “Certificate of Commerciality”, which is equivalent to the building and operation permit.  

The project is located on the island of Panay, Visayas region, in proximity of the popular touristic destination Boracay Island. Construction is anticipated to start at the beginning of 2023 and the commissioning of first turbines is expected by end of 2023.  

As part of the sales agreement, CE will continue to participate in the project as technical and regulation advisor, dedicating a part of its team of engineers and experts in Manila to the successful realization of the project.
